Deep in a beautiful green forest, an old monkey named MaMa Pigtail lived high among the branches of a tall tree. One quiet morning, she encountered a tiny newborn monkey who was only one day old. The helpless baby lay curled up on a soft blanket of leaves, making tiny cries as it searched for warmth and comfort.
At first, MaMa Pigtail stared at the little newborn with a confused expression. She did not know how to care for such a fragile baby. The newborn stretched out its tiny hands, hoping for a gentle touch, but the old monkey turned away and climbed higher into the tree.
The baby’s cries grew louder, echoing through the forest. Other monkeys stopped playing and looked toward the tall tree. They were worried because the newborn was far too young to survive alone. It needed warmth, milk, and constant protection.
Suddenly, MaMa Pigtail became frustrated. Instead of protecting the helpless infant, she carelessly moved away from the baby near the dangerous edge of the branch. The newborn slipped toward the edge, and the watching monkeys cried out in alarm.
Fortunately, a brave mother monkey named Bella rushed forward. She climbed quickly and caught the tiny baby before it could fall. Holding the newborn close to her chest, Bella carefully carried it to a safe nest.
The other monkeys gathered around, offering soft leaves and making gentle sounds to comfort the frightened infant. Bella stayed beside the baby, determined to protect it until help arrived.
Meanwhile, MaMa Pigtail watched silently from another branch. For the first time, she seemed to understand how serious her careless behavior had been.
From that day onward, the forest community learned an important lesson: every newborn deserves safety, kindness, and protection. A helpless baby should never be abandoned or placed in danger. Even the smallest life deserves compassion, and caring for the vulnerable is a responsibility that must never be taken lightly.
